Brussels, 21st January. In the kitchen of Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, one can find a top-quality Cretan product: "Kritsa Olive Oil". Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, German EU deputy of Greek origin presented the bottle to him at a conference. "He was very delighted", Chatzimarkakis said. "Since he comes from the Mediterranean part of Europe as well, he knows: Consuming olive oil guarantees a long life." Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament was also presented with a bottle by Chatzimarkakis.
